![]() ![]() If you try alternative option of pistol, pistol pulse, you need 2 clips + 6 bullets to drop armour which takes 4.3 seconds + 2 reloads for a total of 6.6 seconds. Which means that if you shoot as the pulse explodes it will take 3.3 seconds of damage to drop a Rein, + the reload time to load the second clip, for a total of 4.45 seconds. After 2 seconds Rein still has 130 hp left. 16 pistol shot clear armour for 56 total damage and then 24 shots for 120 into health. #Overwatch tracer PatchWith OW2 patch if you try the same thing, 245 damage, 55 armour left. This is probably a tangent no one cares for but I find it interesting to look at numbers.Ĭurrent tracer goes pulse bomb pistols into Rein. Whittle armour and land big burst which takes longer but will do more into healing, or break armour and try and whittle through health with healing. So now you have to break armour before pulse in order to land big burst, which means whatever option you choose, tanks will live longer. Now pulse will do 245 if on armour with 200 from clip for a total of 445. 345 drops all armour and then 240 damage from 1 clip leads to 585 damage on a tank. This does mean that Tracers want to use pulse as a finisher rather than to drop armour like they do now though. As opposed to 34 shots to drop now it takes 34 + melee to do exactly 200. She has to land every shot before falloff to drop 200hp. This was a change meant for solo tank, but it does hurt dps 1v1s. It just means that once she drops the armour quicker but not the health. In Tracer’s case she is actually better into armour than she was before, with 140 damage into armour before headshots ( assuming she doesn’t break the armour with that damage ) compared to 120. This does however make both of them feel worse into other things. The damage nerfs to Tracer and Reaper pellets keep them almost exactly where they were into armour previously while nerfing big burst which tanks don’t really get a chance to react to. Changing armour to -30% across the board means that big damage like widow headshot or ashe headshot loses a good deal (300 to 210 damage) but it would mean that pellet/tick damage would be better for shredding tanks than before. Right now in live she has her damage reduced by half per bullet into armour because -5 would be less than half. I believe the nerf was due to the armour change. ![]()
